Designer T Shirts for Men Online
2012 will see possibly one of the biggest summers of sport ever with tons of major sporting events to get your teeth into. Starting it all off we have Wimbledon for the tennis fans, closely followed by the European Championships in Ukraine and Poland for the football fans and then finishing the summer off England are hosting the Olympics, an event that chances are no Brit will see again in their lifetime. So with such an amazing marketing and focal point for the summer the designer clothing brands are falling over themselves to get special ranges out to really make sure that their brand is seen this summer. For football you’ll struggle to find better collections than Adidas Originals, and their World Cup collection of two years ago was a bestseller for most retailers (yet strangely everyone was left with England merchandise, i wonder why?). Full of track tops and t shirts for this summers European Championships you’ll more than likely find England, Spain, France, Holland, Germany and many more countries represented. After this focus will shift to the Olympics where Adidas are the official suppliers to the Great Britain team, so expect to find tracksuits, polo shirts, footwear and the much coveted GB football shirt in a variety of stores.
This will all come later in the summer, however at the moment Adidas Originals are having a few ‘warm up’ events and testing people’s resolve with their superb spring summer 2012 range. The t shirts as always are the graphical and eyecatching part of the collection and this year they’ve gone crazy, adding plenty of Union Jacks, trefoil logos and retro designs to their t shirts. Priced between £20 and £32 these amazing t shirts are just a starting point for the year so if designer sportswear and retro designs are your thing then get onto your local or favourite Adidas Originals stockist and grab yourself some of the amazing summers t shirts, you won’t be disappointed!
If you’ve had your ear to the ground when it comes to designer t shirts in the past 3-5 months then you’ll have heard about the amazing Blood Brother t shirts. Founded in late last year by a collective (or Brotherhood) of fashion agents and designers Blood Brother has the ability to go as far as it wants to. Already in bigger doors than last years must have t shirt brand Divine Trash the superb Blood Brother can count ASOS, Selfridges, Cruise and Urban Outfitters as a few of its bigger names while the massive department store Selfridges can boast around half a dozen exclusive designs and styles that are currently proving to be bestsellers on their shop floors. With more massive retailers expected to snap up this brand in the coming months expect to see t shirts that carry an enthusiasm for new and talented design and photography rather than a basic white t shirt with a picture of Kate Moss topless on the front, as much as the world might like to see that it isn’t really fashion when compared to Blood Brother O+.
The t shirt brand can be adopted by many in the fashion world with the skinny jeans and plimsolls wearers rolling up the sleeves on the key designs such as ‘Riot’, ‘Dream’ or ‘Vanity’ or the chino wearers sporting the espadrilles or hi tops with ‘Lust’, ‘Tainted Youth’ or ‘Show Time’ through to the guys who just prefer to wear something basic like a pair of dark jeans, nice Blood Bother 0+ t shirt and a pair of plimsolls or trainers. I suppose the point I am trying to get across here is that there are a few options to wearing a superb Blood Brother t shirt and for £35 its a complete steal so if you’re looking ahead to the summer and wondering whether to dig out last years t shirts or invest in some superb new designs then look no further than the amazing Blood Brother T Shirts. Check out some of their bestselling and top designs below.
We’ve heard a lot about the rugby this year after England’s major flop, and Wales’ valiant efforts at the Rugby World Cup, and now it seems that rugby has worn off on the fashion world, and some of the bigger names are offering rugby shirts within their fashion ranges. At a time when rugby is only ever really reported outside of the sports news for scandal or stupidity the fashion brands such as Lyle and Scott, Ralph Lauren and Hackett have all added a traditional rugby shirt to their winter ranges and are offering the thick cotton, button up collared shirt as a piece of on trend style. There are a variety of colours and slight variations to design for each brand while rugby equipment and sports brand Canterbury have recently ventured into the world of winter fashion and can boast a great range of on trend clothing, as well as kitting out some of the top rugby teams in the world.
So, how do you wear a rugby shirt? Well this season is all about the colours that are available so look out for the red and sky blues as well as the more regular black, grey, navy blue and white. Match these up with a pair of chinos or dark jeans and don’t tuck it in. You can easily layer this up for winter as well with a gilet, jacket or hoodie over the top for that little bit of extra warmth. Priced at between £65 and £132 the rugby shirt isn’t most people’s first choice of clothing however for the rugby fan or the right person the rugby shirt will suit them well, so pick your brand, then your colour and enjoy that little bit of extra warmth with a long sleeved rugby shirt this winter.
G Star are well known for their premium denim and military inspiration, however when you take a really good look at the collection you can see that their amazing range of t shirts is a really popular selection. Full of colour, branding and design the G Star t shirts go perfectly with pretty much any casual outfit and really show the public exactly which designer name you’re wearing at that time. The majority of the designs are cotton crew necks with the occasional polo shirt included along with grandad neck and v neck t shirts. Prices start at around £27 and vary right through to £60 depending on style and material with a lot of supersoft pima cotton used to enhance the ranges. The famous G Star branding is usually found emblazoned across the front in a variety of fonts and designs implementing the ’96′ being the anniversary of the Ellwood Heritage jeans, ’3301′ being the signature mark of their basic range and ‘raw’ paying homage to their unwashed and untreated denim that is bought in a raw state.
G Star is a top brand, and this season there appears to be a variety of best sellers across the internet, so i’ll now pick out my favourites from the sites currently sponsoring Mens Designer T Shirts Online
Original Penguin seems to be everywhere at the moment. Recently named ‘Brand of the Month’ in Loaded Magazine alongside full page adverts and more placed products that you can shake a stick at on the online blogs and forums. It seems that the Original Penguin clothing collection is attracting the right kind of famous faces and attention now, and after bubbling away in the background for the past few years its now hitting the forefront of fashion after Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Clint Eastwood were the famous faces to first wear the American clothing brand its now reaching out again into music with DJ Carl Cox, Professor Green and the Kooks sporting the Penguin logo while Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Bishop have all been snapped at some point wearing the brands iconic polo shirt – the Original Penguin Earl. You’ll have seen the earl already, and not even realised that you’ve seen it. Many imitations have been launched from Topman, Burtons etc but you’re looking for the vintage looking polo shirt with the tipping on the collar and around the button placket while the sleeves and breast pocket receive a similar treatment. If you’re really lucky you may have also grabbed one of the limited edition 1955 celebration polos. Same design but with a 1955 embroidered next to the button, timeless style that has been around for a lot of years!
The Original Penguin collection isn’t just polo shirts though. Cleverly done this allows the brand to appear pretty much anywhere from casual days by the beach in shorts and t shirt right through to smarter occasions with a shirt, v neck jumper and trousers. You probably wouldn’t be shocked to know that Original Penguin is considered a golf brand, and its original creator Abbott Peterson was an avid golf fan when he wasn’t selling underwear for Munsingwear (hence the name connection, Munsingwear produced his early designs!).
With Original Penguin being the must have at the moment you really need to be seeking out a popular retailer of the brand to pick up a few pieces and set the trend among your group of friends. Its competition time again, and one of the UKs leading t shirts and polo shirts blogs i thought i’d give you a great heads up on Mens Designer T Shirts Online and let you know that a leading t shirt and clothing brand, from Manchester, have launched an iPad 2 competition alongside independent retailers Mainline Menswear. They are of course Henleys. Available on the Mainline Menswear website they are giving one lucky person the opportunity to win a 32GB Black WI-FI enabled Apple iPad 2. Entry is fairly simple, and requires you to have an e-mail address and a Facebook account to complete the process. Once entered you have the chance to share with your friends list via your wall for additional entries, ensuring your name appears more often among the thousands of people that are sure to enter this amazing giveaway.
This season Henleys are trying hard to re-invent their collections, and a new range of t shirts are available that carry with it large full fronted graphical designs that have every eyecatching colour imaginable on the front. The Henleys logo has also had a revamp, and now features the ‘H’ on its side, looking more like an ‘I’ than anything, but what do I know about marketing?! I only blog about the t shirts. Priced at their usual £20-£30 Henleys are hopefully back on the up after their troubles last year and will have a successful autumn winter season. If they can start to claw some of the young teenage to mid twenties market back from Voi, Gio Goi, Criminal Damage, Bench, UCLA and other similar brands then Henleys will again become a major clothing brand.

Lyle and Scott is possibly one of the biggest brands designer brands available in the UK at the moment, with the Scottish knitwear brand offering a massive range of clothing which starts at basic crew neck t shirts and progresses through past their iconic knitwear, cardigans, jumpers, jackets and now in 2011 the brand are showcasing socks, bags, hats and footwear, with the latter seeming to appear absolutely everywhere. The Lyle and Scott craze started around 2006/07 when the brand appeared on Soccer AM among many many other places, and as popularity hit the golden eagle became very sought after. Such was the demand for Lyle and Scott polo shirts and clothing that they actually launched a new range in 2009, the Heritage range.
Cut on a much bigger block, the Heritage range was originally designed for the person that didn’t want the slim fit fashion, but also didn’t want a golden eagle. Originally the eagle was tonal to the colour of the shirt, much in the same style as Ralph Lauren and their colourful embroidered polo player logo. This has been the case since the brand first hit the scenes, however now the powers that be have changed their designs and focus and the tonal logo embroidered logo has been changed for a red eagle that is appliqued onto the chest. The red eagle, working alongside the golden eagle, and the green eagle for the golf fashion range will look absolutely amazing when laid out alongside each other. Add to this the Lyle and Scott archive range which is seeing an oversized golden eagle, and the sportswear range which again has a newly designed logo for their launch last year and you can see that the eagle is slowly taking over the fashion world.
The Heritage red eagle is here to wow the crowds, and can be found across the entire range of Heritage t shirts, polo shirts, knitwear, jumpers and jackets, just like their Vintage counterparts’ range. So if you fancy something a little new and different then why not pick yourself up a couple of bits of the brand new Lyle and Scott Heritage range, and show the world that all eagles don’t have to be golden!
Weekend Offender began life as a graphical t shirt brand, much like many of the fantastic British designer names that are currently available in the designer menswear world. Offering song lyrics, chest designs and graphics that would appeal to the 48 hour party person Weekend Offender soon took off and gained quite a cult following. In 2010 the decision was made to offer more than just a graphical t shirt. This move jumped them onto a variety of designer clothing sites as they moved from offering just t shirts to a more on trend, subtle clothing range that appealed to the masses as opposed to the quite niche following. This has allowed Weekend Offender to experiment, and now offering jackets, jumpers, polo shirts and cardigans has enhanced the collection and allowed their t shirts to become part of their personality, rather than everything they stand for.
The crew neck t shirts have a variety of slogans and designs, with CCTV, song lyrics, Weekend Offender logos and the rogues gallery all making an appearance. The ‘rogues’ t shirts in particular are best sellers as they carry the villain or celebrity gone wrong of the time. The summer saw the launch of the Charlie Sheen rogue t shirt while the winter has seen Ian Brown, Mike Tyson and Ryan Giggs all given the rogue make over. The design, taken from the front page of the fashion magazine Vogue, depicts the person in question in a mocked up magazine style design. Charlie Sheen carries the sub title ‘Is Charlie that bad?’, Tyson ‘Ironed Out’ and Giggs simply has his eyes covered by ‘Playing Away’ all clever plays on words that make the t shirts appeal to men, and some women around the UK. If graphical t shirts aren’t your thing then there are some superb polo shirts that carry the embroidered Weekend Offender bird logo on the chest. Cardigans, sweatshirts and hoodies also have the same superb branding, offering two angles on the British clothing brand.
Well, i say ‘young fashion’ personally I can’t see that their classic Williams or Hoya polo shirts would look out of place on a fashionable older guy. Some of the colours may be a little bright, but there are certain aspects of Luke 1977 clothing that will suit any age or any fashion, much like the Lacoste or Lyle and Scott polo shirt. Luke may not have the history, but their designs definitely are classic and timeless. Late last year Luke 1977 were crowned ‘young fashion brand of the year’ and this gave them the springboard to move onto bigger and better things in 2011. More advertising, publicity and promotional work has seen the brand rise to a new level with professional footballers, tv stars, actors, music bands and artists and even a rising star of entertainment Dynamo the Magician appearing in a variety of Luke 1977 clothing. So with this in mind are you a Luke lover or are you undecided? I can’t say that i have ever met anyone that doesn’t like the brand, as there is so much variety in there. You can pick up a graphical logo t shirt, a variety of basic or bold polo shirts, casual checked shirts that are tailored to perfection, a massive range of knitwear that really catches the eye during the winter that includes jumpers, hoodies and cardigans as well as a selection of winter coats and jackets.
The polo shirts and t shirts are by far the most popular range within the brand as everyone likes to show off their designer t shirts in the summer, and then have one on underneath their winter warmers, just incase it gets too warm! If you’re used to the Luke 1977 embroidered badge being on the shoulder then don’t worry if you see it on the chest, they’re experimenting with their designs and offering two fantastic locations for the iconic British designer named branding and logo. Luke 1977 is a brand experiencing a sudden growth spurt, so you’ll be able to find it pretty much everywhere in the UK, as long as it is an independent retailer. Part of, the founder of the brand, Luke Roper’s ethos is to deal with the little man in the UK, as there is more passion, more creativity and more interest than some of the multi national retailers. So if you’re looking for a top quality autumn winter 2011 polo shirt
